There really is nothing better than being part of someone’s big day and back in June I was honoured to be asked to provide floral arrangements for Layla’s 21st Birthday party.
Layla and her Mum had planned an incredible garden party with a real vintage feel – hessian, lace, bunting, the works!
I really wanted the flowers to add ‘wow’ to the party, so as the guests arrived they were greeted by a large Martini arrangement on the drinks table – well it had to be didn’t it!! I filled it with stunning seasonal blooms in pink, purple and eye-popping lime green. June is right at the end of the Peony season, so I just had to use them. They were huge, blowsy and absolutely stunning. I love making these large arrangements, as you can fit so much in and since I love, love, love Alliums, they went in there too.
It is great to have a theme to work with and I created these jam jars finished with gorgeous hessian and lace ribbons for the buffet table.
I wanted them to give off the most beautiful scent, so filled them with Lavender, Freesia and Sweet Peas. The Roses, Veronica, Delphiniums and Astrantia also helped give the wonderful romantic and vintage feel that the ladies were looking for.
Here at Lilac & Lace, it is always so wonderful when you hear back from a happy customer and I received this lovely thank you not long after.
