I first met Sophie last Christmas at my Wreath Workshops at Charlotte Ware Designs. She reached out a few months later to talk all about her incredible wedding at Preston Court.

Sophie had a truly incredible vision – wanting her wedding flowers to stand out and be contemporary, edgy and bold. She had 2 colour schemes, foliage and whites for the church, and bright colour clashing for the Barn at Preston Court. The flower choices were not traditional either, instead contemporary and structural, with stunning Calla Lilly and Tropical leaves.
Her bouquet was one of the more challenging I’ve made, as it had to both be small and light, as well as edgy, bold and dramatic – not an easy combination! I filled it with stunning structural foliage from Ruscus to Fern and those jaw-dropping deep burgundy, almost black Callas. It was truly beautiful and made her gorgeous dress sing!

Sophie and James wanted a real statement piece at the entrance to St Mildred’s church, so we created a deep green, tropical archway with opulent gold accents. It was an absolute joy to make – created on rope so that it could be moved to hang in the Barn for the wedding breakfast. What a great way to enjoy your décor for longer!

The Barn at Preston Court is beyond compare with 2 huge vintage organs at either end. Sophie had the most creative eye, using Monstera leave placemats to tie in with the florals and gorgeous gold cutlery. Her colours were bright and bold, clashing orange and pink – not many people would be brave enough to pull that off! – but the colour looked incredible! There were so many unusual flower choices too.

I absolutely loved the finished look!

Rebecca produced some beautiful creations for our wedding at Preston Court. In the lead-up she went above and beyond in listening to our ideas and themes whilst suggesting things we hadn’t thought of which would be in season at the time. The mood board she produced was really helpful in bringing our discussions to life.
Sophie and James – June 2019
On the day, Rebecca’s creations really did have the wow factor and many of our guests commented on how stunning the flowers were on their tables. To top it off, Rebecca is super professional and a lovely person – we felt in very good hands, which is exactly what you want when wedding planning is stressful enough!
Thank you Rebecca for your hard work and vision!
