Hello, hello! How are you? I thought I would show Hello, hello! How are you? I thought I would show you my face, as its been far too long! I am Rebecca, the lady behind the flowers.. bucket cleaner, proposal writer, design creator and everything in between! I am now nine weddings into my wedding season and absolutely loving every moment! I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am to finally see my gorgeous couples get married after their patient wait through the last 18 months. It is honestly the best feeling in the world, and I am so honoured to play a part in each and every special day. I absolutely LOVE all the little details and touch I absolutely LOVE all the little details and touches that make things so personal to my couples.. from writing your own vows, including a favourite flower or carrying a photo of a lost loved one, every one is so special! I have been so so lucky to have flowered some exquisitely beautiful weddings over the last few months and they have all been so perfect! Earth Day 2021 🌎 Today people all over the wo Earth Day 2021 🌎 Today people all over the world are celebrating our beautiful planet. They are creating awareness and focusing on ways to restore the world's ecosystems. It feels like the right time to tell you about the work I have been doing behind the scenes, to hold myself accountable and to hopefully share with you the joy it is bringing me. Like so many of my wonderful florist friends, I am committed to becoming as sustainable as possible and adopting eco-conscious practices. I have recently starting working with @ecologi_hq to make LLFD climate positive, and now offset my carbon footprint by supporting climate solutions all over the world and right here in the UK. So far, amongst other initiatives, it has meant the planting of 159 trees across Mozambique, Madagascar and here in the UK. I pledge to plant 25 trees in the name of every couple that I have the pleasure and privilege of working with from 2021 onwards. I will also continue to work on.. * Reducing, reusing and recycling. * Using green methods to create my designs (no floral foam since 2018). * Not using dyed, bleached or painted materials. * Using plastic free packaging and labelling. * Reducing my use of single use plastics. * Using British grown flowers wherever possible. I am by no means perfect and like with everything, it's a journey and a learning curve. If you would like to know more, then please follow the link in my bio. I have been so nervous about writing this, as I know these discussions can often be contentious, but I hope you see my words in the way they are meant.. I was totally giddy like a child on Christmas morning.. honestly the feeling is completely undescribable! Seeing gorgeous Joanna getting ready filled my heart with SO much joy and happiness. A year ago to the day, I was holed up in my Studio A year ago to the day, I was holed up in my Studio preparing Natalie and Alex's gorgeous spring wedding flowers. A real nod to February and the beautiful nature reserves around the @theferryhouseinnevents. This bouquet was my most liked of 2020 and it received an incredible amount of love! Those flowers truly deserve it though.. Just look at the gently nodding Frittilaria next to the scrumptious Hellebores and the heavenly scented Paperwhites.
